The Hertfordshire Health Walks programme is coordinated by The Countryside Management Service (CMS) and is a countywide programme of free, volunteer-led walks.
It aims to help promote walking and encourage more people (all ages, backgrounds and abilities) to get outdoors, get active and reap the health benefits.
A variety of walks take place across St Albans city and district. This programme incorporates walks from our Verulamium Park in St Albans to the beautiful countryside around Harpenden, London Colney, Redbourn, Wheathampstead, Bricket Wood and Sandridge.
Whilst most walks are grade 3, of an hour or more, there are some shorter and slower-paced walks available, as well as regular weekend walks.
